在交易截止日前，步行者将赛季报销的怀斯曼和现金送到了猛龙，换回一个前55顺位保护的次轮签。
怀斯曼本赛季只打了1场比赛，拿到6分1板，他本赛季的薪水是底薪224万。
怀斯曼在2020年的选秀大会的第二顺位被勇士选中，在2022-23赛季期间被勇士交易到了活塞，打完自己的4年新秀合同之后，怀斯曼以底薪被步行者招募，但本赛季刚打1场比赛，怀斯曼就撕裂了跟腱导致赛季报销。
怀斯曼生涯至今一共打了148场比赛，场均9.1分5.6篮板0.7助攻，命中率56.0%，三分命中率26.2%。
